>>> Another Filipina wins Miss International. After 26 years of not having produced a beauty titlist, the Philippines adds another winner into their already impressive record at Miss International. The Philippines is now tied with Venezuela as the country with the most number of Miss International wins. But the more impressive thing about the Philippines is that it is the only country in the Far East that has won the crown...and they did it 4 times.
Miss Venezuela, Andrea Gomez, placed in the semifinals but failed to reach the top 3. She is considered by most as the top person to win the crown. She was even voted by Webmasters of various pageant-related websites as Miss Cyber Press International 2005. This contest is organized by Global Beauties.
I personally think that Miss Venezuela is pretty. However, I never really considered her as the one most likely to win it all come pageant night. Nor did I think that Miss Philippines will win capture the crown. I do think that Miss Spain, Pilar Dominguez, is a very beautiful lady. However, in some pictures, she looks rather old.
This year's batch of Miss International delegates is rather weak compared to the previous years. Too bad for this once illustrious pageant.
