Recently watched:

The X-Men, mutant heroes sworn to defend a world that hates and fears them, are back! This time, with the help of new recruits The Beast and Angel, they must face evolution itself in the form of their former teammate, Jean Grey. Possessed with the cosmic power of the Dark Phoenix, the resurrected Jean Grey has become a danger to herself, her mutant comrades, and the entire planet. To stave off this imminent threat to humanity, a potential cure is discovered and processed to treat -- and ultimately eliminate -- genetic mutations, once and for all. Now, as the battle lines are drawn, the X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier, must contend with both Jean Grey's world-consuming powers, as well as the malevolent Brotherhood, a band of powerful mutants organized under Xavier's former ally, Magneto.
---
Magneto: No one ever talks about extermination. They just do it. And you go on with your lives, ignoring the signs around you. And then one day, when the air is still and the night is fallen, they come for you. Only then do you realize that while you're talking about organizing and committees, the extermination has already begun. Make no mistake, my brothers, they will draw first blood. They will force their cure upon us. There is only one question you must answer: Who will you stand with?
---
Professor Charles Xavier: Something woke her. But she has to be controlled.
Logan: You know, sometimes when you cage the beast, the beast gets angry.

Leesa Bellesi, a dance instructor and writer from Laguna Beach, says "It's gonna happen. Everything that she dreamed or wanted is going to happen."

Bellesi was among hundreds of McPhee fans who showed up tonight at Universal CityWalk to root for the 22-year-old Los Angeles native. Spielberg contacts 'Idol' runner-up

Everything happens for a reason. For American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee the reason she did not win the popular singing competition, might be because she's destined to be a movie star.

The California beauty has apparently won over director Steven Spielberg, who has requested a private meeting with her.

"When you get some phone calls or you hear rumours ... it definitely gives you a little bit of hope," she says, adding she's also heard Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes want her to sing at their upcoming wedding.

"I've heard a lot of different rumours ... I really don't want to jinx anything to be honest."

One thing McPhee will confirm is her plans to collaborate with hit songwriter Diane Warren for her debut album.

"We want to get together and start writing some stuff together."

The Da Vinci Code

Recently watched:
The Greatest Conspiracy of the Pst 2000 years is about to Unravel...

While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum. Near the body, police have found a baffling cipher. Solving the enigmatic riddle, Langdon is stunned to discover it leads to a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci…clues visible for all to see…and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

Langdon joins forces with a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, and learns the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion—an actual secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Botticelli, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci, among others. The Louvre curator has sacrificed his life to protect the Priory's most sacred trust: the location of a vastly important religious relic, hidden for centuries.

In a breathless race through Paris, London, and beyond, Langdon and Neveu match wits with a faceless powerbroker who appears to work for Opus Dei—a clandestine, Vatican-sanctioned Catholic sect believed to have long plotted to seize the Priory's secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle in time, the Priory's secret—and a stunning historical truth—will be lost forever.

In an exhilarating blend of relentless adventure, scholarly intrigue, and cutting wit, symbologist Robert Langdon (first introduced in Dan Brown's bestselling Angels & Demons) is the most original character to appear in years. THE DA VINCI CODE heralds the arrival of a new breed of lightening-paced, intelligent thriller…surprising at every twist, absorbing at every turn, and in the end, utterly unpredictable…right up to its astonishing conclusion.
